Is Santa's hefty frame putting his jolliness in jeapordy?

The December issue of the Canadian Medical Association Journal includes an article that looks at how Santa can remain so upbeat despite being at such an unhealthy body weight.

Is it possible that Santa's jovial nature is just a facade? Is Santa's enthusiasm and hearty ho-hoing at risk? Or is Santa's year-round regimen of toy making, rooftop jumping and vigorous chimney-climbing the main reason for his positive mental health?

The authors suggest that, based on their findings, perhaps the best gift that Santa can bring us is one of a physically active lifestyle.
